Get Involved
Families at Madison Heights can get involved in their child’s school community through the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), Site-Based Committee, and by volunteering at the school.
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
The Madison Heights PTO would like to invite you to be a part of your child’s education! Our goal is to give more direct resources to the students by simply being accessible and accommodating to teachers’ classroom needs. A significant portion of our budget is used to provide teachers and the support staff the additional funding they need for in class projects such Art Masterpiece, new book packages for the library and live science projects the students can watch grow and develop as they learn. We are also the primary financial source for our school’s teacher aides. Please join us in supporting the wonderful teachers, staff, students and their families who call Madison Heights their school. Opportunities to assist the PTO are listed below along with our contact information. Thank you to those parents who have already offered their time to chair or co-chair a project or event the PTO offers. Visit us on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HeightsPTO
Site-Based Council
The Site-Based Management Team is a group of teachers, staff members, and parents and students who meet quarterly to ensure that we are meeting the district’s and school’s primary purpose: Extraordinary Learning for all and Passionate about meeting individual needs. Through this committee, participants work collaboratively to provide input on expenditures for the tax credit budget, school improvement goals, and parent involvement topics. Site-Based Committee members may be asked to analyze data and contribute to the school improvement plan activities and outcomes. Site-Based Management Team members analyze school climate data, and discuss ways to communicate those things that are occurring at Madison Heights.
